See the new Retube Feeder and Boiler Replacement (RFBR) Training and Mock-up Facility (TMF) at 221 Church Street, Pickering — a 200,000-square-foot hub preparing staff for the refurbishment of Pickering Nuclear Units 5 to 8, on track for completion December 2026.
The tour covers the north side's 100,000-square-foot training space, with full-scale reactor and component mock-ups, dynamic and static platforms replicating the reactor building, Steam Generator Boiler Bottom mock-ups, a welding shop, and classrooms — plus the south side's storage and warehouse space for refurbishment components.
CanAtom Power Group is outfitting the facility to closely mirror real refurbishment conditions, a key investment in workforce readiness for this major project.
