WiN Canada Members are invited to join this free one-hour virtual Catalyst session focused on Gender Identity and Expression. The session encourages participants to look inward examine their own beliefs and assumptions about gender, and understand how gender impacts each of us. Participants will learn tactical steps on how to celebrate the lived and expressed genders of individuals, and how they can help to create a gender-inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
Speaker: Sheila Brassel, PhD, Director, Research & Data Innovation Lab
Sheila Brassel, PhD, is the Director of Catalyst’s Research & Data Innovation Lab. She contributes expertise in intersectionality, sexual harassment, inclusion, and workplace experiences related to gender, race, and sexual orientation to Catalyst’s diverse research programs. Sheila has demonstrated thought leadership on these and other topics with several publications, invited presentations, grants, and awards for her research and scholarship.Sheila received her PhD in Psychology from the University of Michigan with an affiliation in Gender & Feminist Psychology and a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
