WiN-Durham: Habitat GTA Women Build - Durham

WiN-Durham is proud to be partnering up with Habitat GTA for Women Build-Durham 2022. We invite all of our Members, their families and friends to come out and work alongside future Habitat homeowners, to build their new homes as part of a 50 stacked townhome build.

When you participate in this event, you will get:

  • construction training
  • tools provided
  • personal protective equipment (to borrow)
  • you are encouraged to bring your own: safety glasses, work gloves, CSA approved safety boots
  • Women Build T-shirt
  • pink Hard Hat to take home
  • catered breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages
  • digital photos of the day
  • fun competition activity
  • prizes and swag
  • interactive learning centre

Registration Information: 

  • you can register to participate on either Friday, June 10 or Saturday, June 11, 2022
  • if you choose to register for both days, the registration fee and minimum donation amounts would need to be paid twice
  • minimum age is 16 years
  • participants under 18 years must have a physical copy of the minor waiver fully signed, witnessed and completely filled out
  • all participants must be double vaccinated 
  • enhanced vaccine certificate with official QR code and ID must be presented in person at the event
  • masks are personal preference
  • work will be indoors and outdoors, so dress appropriately for the weather (build work happens rain or shine)
  • wear long pants that you don't mind getting dirty
  • refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, lotion, aftershave and other fragrances
  • all participants must view: 15-minute safety video and 20-minute Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) training
